Details: 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass, fastback body, not coupe. Painted black, with black interior. Runs Great, starts right up, idles well.350 Olds engine, automatic trans, 10 bolt rear end, manual drum brakesOriginally a 2 barrel car, now sports an edelbrock 4 barrel carb, and flowmaster exhaust. Not too loud, sounds very muscle car like.New plugs, wires, cap and rotor.New components professionally installed include kyb shocks, new springs, polyurethane control arm bushings, poly swaybar links and bushings, ball joints and spindles. A firmer steering gear with a quicker ratio with less turns lock to lock was installed. Basically these suspension and steering components transformed the car. The car went from wandering around like a boat, to a pretty good handling car with firm steering. Drum brakes were serviced last year. They work very well.Engine runs smooth, does not smoke oil. Idles well, and climbs through the revs beautifully. Transmission is a th350 with an oil cooler. It shifts smoothly. I can honestly say the engine and transmission are in great condition.Cragar wheels, BFGoodrich Radials, pretty wide in back.Originally copper colored, previous owner painted it black. Not the best paint job, a 10 footer. There is a little bit of rust, in the rear fender lips, they sell replacement patch panels for these areas. Also rust in the floorpans, and trunk pan, not real bad. Overall this a great car to drive now and restore later or restore now. All the major areas have been addressed, engine, trans, suspension, steering, and brakes. The only thing left would be some body work and a good paint job, and patch up some of the vinyl in the interior. I think the seats are in too good of condition to reskin, I would just patch it. Needs headliner, but the bars are there.Car drives very well, does not wander, has a nice firm feel to the steering, the car gets thumbs up wherever I go. A good car for the money, the car is ready to cruise right now.
