Details: This is a 1997 Oldsmobile Aurora with a 4.0L V8 Cadillac engine in excellent running condition. And it gets about 32mpg in the city and 38mpg on the highway. I just put this motor in it has 90,000 miles on it and also replaced both front door handles, window motor, waterpump, thermostat, plugs and wires, coolant, radiator, serpentine belt. What it does still need is 2 front sway bar end links, and a driver side window motor and that is it. This car is in excellent shape, runs and drives great. Details: you are looking at a 1966 oldsmobile 2 dr dynamic 88 convertible. this has been a restoration in the works for a looong time. its home buying time again for me so im willing to sacrafice my baby. heres what it has..the engine is a 425 bored 30 over, crane cam, edelbrock performer manifold and freshly rebuilt edelbrock performer carb. new head gaskets, recent valve job. the engine was completely rebuilt around 15k miles ago. the actual mileage on this car is unknown but close to 150k , it was a barn find in lubbock texas when i purchased it in the 80´s. electronic ignition from pertronix (no more points!) rebuilt distributor, new alternator and battery, the engine runs strong and with very little work (tuneup, dialing in) will run fine. auto trans, original never rebuilt, never needed to, but it has a pan gasket and trany coolant line leak. easy fix.newer rear tires, front tires are ok but older bias ply on crager ss rims that polish up nice. i have the rare factory dual exhaust. i have new mufflers and a custom bent exaust and tailpipes that are not installed on the car. rearend is stock. interior is black with a split bench front seat that looks like bucket with the comfort of a bench. a few small tears in the front seat, nothing awful. the rear seat is mint. the vinyl top is decent and cleans up nice but needs the back window. new hydraulic hoses. front end is driveable, but i would suggest upgrading to tighten up the steering and handling. vdo guages. body is decent paint is ok for its age and after a good compound and polish it cleans up ok with a few rough spots. again it wouldnt take much to get the body straight and throw on a fresh coat of paint. this is an easy fix up for cruise nights. not a show winner by any means but a great solid car with tons of new parts. lots of extra hard to find parts like hood, front bumper, headlight bezels, inner fender, convertible top hydraulics (motor and pistons and hoses), brake pads, brake drums. looking back at this description im not painting all that pretty of a picture but im not hiding any of the work that would need to be done to get this car back to cruise night level. it really would take little money and a few weekends to bring it back to glory. its a fun, very fast, rare project car with great potential. feel free to email me any questions or for more pictures..im pretty firm on the price with what i have emotionally and financially invested in it. im not desperate to sell but could use the money towards my down payment on my new home. thanks for looking. car is located in monroe ct and id be glad to show anyone whos interested. first $5,000 takes it Location: monroe, ctit´s NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests
